Placement Assistance

October 25, 2019

When loved ones are at a point where they are no longer able to remain in their present living environment, problems can impact the entire family. Senior Alternatives understands that family members may feel overwhelmed at times or lack the expertise essential to deal with moving someone to a new living environment.

We offer the clinical expertise necessary to choose the right location, tailored to the client’s short and long term needs. Moreover, we have developed relationships with reputable nursing homes, assisted living facilities and retirement communities.

We will perform an initial functional assessment including: activities of daily living, emotional and physical status, socialization needs and family and social support. The report documents current concerns, and assists in planning for future needs. We use the assessment to ensure that a correct decision is made in choosing a new home.

We can also help coordinate a successful move by referring you to the necessary resources for packing and moving and other necessary tasks. We also develop a long term financial assessment to assure the new location is affordable so as to decrease the likelihood of the client having to move again.

We do not accept any financial consideration from the facility selected for placement. Instead, we charge an hourly fee.
