At Senior Alternatives, our experienced Geriatric Care Managers are prepared to provide guidance and professional care to you and your family members. Our care plans are designed with the client's integrity and emotional needs as a priority. We treat our clients as if they were our own family.

Our social work team members all have Master’s level degrees and years of experience. We’re here to assist you and your senior family member with any situation that you might be going through.

Our Staff

Janet Brush, LCSW, MSW, MSG Janet Brush, LCSW, MSW, MSG, C-ASWCM, is the Managing Director of Senior Alternatives.  Ms. Brush has a Masters of Social Work, a Masters of Science in Gerontology and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California.  She also has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.  She has extensive experience in the field of Gerontology including working with a variety of issues such as dementia, depression, care giving and other problems associated with the aging process.  In addition to her work in the private sector, Ms. Brush has worked in a variety of hospital settings including the New York University Aging and Dementia Research Center and Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
Carolyn Lonner, LCSW, MSW, has a Masters of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California.  She was the Program Director at Alzheimer's Services of the East Bay (ASEB) as well as social worker for their licensed Adult Day Health Care program.  Ms. Lonner has worked at Catholic Charities in the Aging Case Management program and with the Center for Elderly Suicide Prevention in San Francisco.
Michelle Pratt, LCSW, MSW, has a Masters of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California.  She obtained her MSW from UC Berkeley with an emphasis in Community Mental Health.  Her most recent experience has been working for Hospice.  She has special interest in working with people around adjustment to illness, grief and loss issues, and providing support to the caregiver.
Ann Kositsky, R.N., Ph.N, MSN, PNP, CNS, has a Masters of Science in Family Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco. She is a licensed RN in the state of California with over 30 years of experience. She has worked in a wide variety of settings including Visiting Nurse Association Home Health Care Registered Public Health Nurse, Private Hospice Nurse and Private Nurse Consultant and Case Manager. She has also taught at hospitals, adult schools and the UCSF Graduate School of Nursing.
Jennie Riley, MS, has a Masters in Counseling with a Gerontology Specialization from San Francisco State University. Jennie is our counseling specialist, and has worked with seniors and adults with disabilities not only to provide counseling but also to refer them to appropriate services. She also has expertise with providing grief counseling and management of care giving staff.
Julie Harrison, MSW, CSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  She has a Master's of Social Work from New York University.  Julie has spent her entire social work career working with seniors in a variety of programs including care management, EAP services and Alzheimer's Adult Day Health care.
Blake Mueller, MSW, has a Masters of Social Work from the University of Southern California. He has spent the last 6 years working for the Vitas Hospice organization. His work experience includes both clinical and managerial responsibilities. Blake has worked with varied populations, with a predominant focus on older adults and their families. He brings with him extensive work experience in end of life issues and grief counseling.
James Merson, Director of Home Care Services, has been involved in Home Care Services for many years as both a recruiter and accounts manager. James graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. He is currently pursuing his MBA.
